FROM SCATTERED TO ONE PLACE

Don’t lose track
of what changed.

A revised file deserves a fresh look. Keep the earlier result, check the next revision and see the difference together.

  1. 01

    Files pile up.

Interiors, covers, answer keys and notes live in different folders, each with its own "final" name.

  2. 02

    Findings get lost.

A margin warning from last month sits in an email. Nobody remembers which file it described.

  3. 03

    One book project.

Each revision is locked with the results that describe it. The next revision is compared with the last.

A TOUR OF THE WORKSPACE

Everything for one book,
in one place.

WHAT THE WORKSPACE DOES

What it does,
and where it runs.

Every card below is in the app today. The tag says where the work happens, so you know what stays on your device.

Runs on your device

Print preflight for interiors and covers

Paperback page size, page count, margins, embedded fonts, image resolution, small text and blank-page runs; cover size, spine width, spine text and barcode area. A check that cannot run is shown as could not be checked, never as a pass. It does not tell you whether a printer or marketplace will accept the file.

Stays on your device

Your PDFs stay in your browser

Files are read on your device. Only file details, SHA-256 digests and check results are saved to your account. A browser can remove stored files, and another device does not have them: you reselect the file and it is matched by its digest.

Saved to your account

Book projects with locked revisions

Each project holds the title, author, series, edition and print settings. A saved revision is never edited in place: a change makes a new revision, so earlier results still describe the file they checked.

Your own books only

Comparison with your own catalogue

Select books from your own catalogue and see identical files and visually similar pages. Only the books you select are compared: it does not search the internet or other publishers’ books, and it is not a rights check.

Generated on your device

Sudoku, word search and mazes

Generate puzzles from a seed and your settings, with answer pages. A separate verifier checks the answers: one solution per Sudoku, every word-search word where the key says, every maze solvable.

Downloads as a ZIP

Dated release package

A ZIP for the revision you choose: the files available on this device, their hashes, the check report, a version manifest and your own source, licence and AI-disclosure declarations. It is a record of what you checked, not legal proof.

Revision-to-revision comparison

Compare two revisions of a book. Each issue is marked resolved, still present, new or not comparable.

Sudoku, word search and mazes

Generate puzzles from a seed and your settings, with answer pages. A separate verifier checks the answers: one solution per Sudoku, every word-search word where the key says, every maze solvable.

Template covers and page assembly

Build a cover from a template, sized from the trim, paper and page count, and assemble pages into one interior.

Bounded batches

Check several books or generate a set in one go, with progress for each item. Batches run while the tab stays open; results already saved are kept if you close it.

Series and format consistency

Review title, subtitle, author, series name and number and edition across the formats of a series, and choose which differences to change.

  • One solution per Sudoku
  • Every word where the key says
  • Every maze solvable

The verifier is separate code from the generator, so a page is checked by a second method.

WHAT NEEDS ATTENTION

Every result says
what it means.

Each status is a word, not just a colour. A check that could not run is never shown as a pass.

  • Problem

A measurement is outside the published specification. Look at this first.

  • Warning

A measurement is near or past a recommendation. Decide if it matters for your book.

  • Resolved

An issue from an earlier revision is no longer present in this one.

  • Could not be checked

The check could not run, for example the file had no barcode area. It is never shown as a pass.

HONEST ABOUT SCOPE

Plain about
the limits.

Titleward is a checking and tracking aid. It tells you what it measured, and it is plain about the rest.

Titleward does

  • Measures your file against published paperback specifications and shows the rule version and date.
  • Compares your files with books you select from your own catalogue.
  • Keeps each saved revision with the results that describe it.
  • Exports a dated package of what you checked.

Titleward does not

  • Tell you whether a printer or marketplace will accept the file.
  • Search the internet, other publishers’ books or any public database.
  • Check rights, originality or ownership of a page.
  • Give legal advice. Results are information, not legal proof.

HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED

Your files stay yours.

4 things the app does today. The privacy policy has the full detail.

  • Book PDFs stay in your browser

Files you select are read and checked on your device. Only file details, SHA-256 digests and the results you choose to save go to your account.

  • Row-level security on your data

Database rules let each account read and change only its own rows. A test checks that every account table has them.

  • Export and delete your account

Download your data from settings, or delete the account with a typed confirmation.

  • Card details stay with Stripe

Paid plans start on Stripe’s hosted Checkout, so card numbers never reach Titleward.

A saved quality check is a print preflight or catalogue comparison result saved to a project. Saving an identical result again does not count. The allowance resets on the first day of each month (UTC). When it is used up, new results are not saved until the next month or an upgrade; nothing is charged automatically. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Questions

What publishers ask before they start.

Where are my PDF files kept?

In your browser, on the device you use. Your account stores file details, SHA-256 digests and check results, not the PDFs. A browser can remove stored files, for example when site data is deleted, and another device does not have them. In both cases you reselect the file and it is matched to the project by its digest.

Privacy

If the print checks find nothing, will my book be accepted for print?

Not necessarily. Preflight measures the file against published paperback specifications such as trim, bleed, margins, spine width and fonts. Printers and marketplaces run their own review and can turn a file down for reasons these checks do not cover. Anything the checks could not measure is listed as could not be checked.

What does the catalogue comparison compare against?

Only the books you select from your own catalogue in Titleward. It does not search the internet, other publishers’ books or any public database, and it does not tell you who owns the rights to a page.

Which puzzles can it generate?

Sudoku, word search and mazes, with answer pages. A separate verifier checks the answers before they go into the book. Covers are built from templates.

Do batches keep running if I close the tab?

No. Batches run in your browser while the tab is open. Results that were already saved stay in the project.

What is in the release package?

A ZIP for the revision you choose: the files available on this device, their SHA-256 hashes, the check report, a version manifest and the source, licence and AI-disclosure declarations you entered. It records what was checked and when. It is not legal proof of ownership or rights.

What counts as a saved quality check?

Saving the result of a print preflight or a catalogue comparison to a project. Each plan includes a monthly allowance (Free 20, Starter 300, Pro 1,000), counted per calendar month in UTC. Saving an identical result again does not count. When the allowance is used up, new results are not saved until the next month or an upgrade; nothing is charged automatically.

Is this legal advice? Does it promise my book will be accepted?

No. Titleward is a checking and tracking aid, not legal advice. A result describes your file and the listed rules at the time of the check. It does not promise that a printer or marketplace will accept the book, and it is not legal proof.

Are the examples on this page real results?

No. The books, files, revisions and results shown in the demos on this page are invented samples. No customer data is shown, and a demo is not a live check.

Do you need my KDP or Amazon login?

No. Titleward never asks for a KDP or Amazon login and does not connect to any marketplace account.

What is the refund policy?

A full refund within 14 days of your first payment for Starter or Pro, monthly or annual. One refund per customer. Renewals are not refunded; you can cancel any time and keep access to the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by Stripe.
